DG Architectural Consulting principals, Donald Getman and Lisa Pendleton, have personally designed and managed hundreds of successfully completed projects throughout the Western United States including multi-family, mixed use, transit oriented and commercial projects.  Their projects have received numerous awards including the PCBC’s “Project of the Year – Grand Award” for the prominent residential high-rise “Azzurra” in Marina del Rey and most recently “Project of the Year - Merit Award” for “580 Anton” in Costa Mesa’s Art’s District.

The DG Architectural Consulting team is known for their expertise in all forms of mixed-use and multi-family projects including luxury high-rise, mixed-use urban infill and subsidized affordable housing.  Mr. Getman and Ms. Pendleton have personally managed these types of projects from schematic design through entitlement, to construction documents through completion of construction. 

In addition to design and construction experience, the DG Architectural Consulting team brings their substantial knowledge of zoning, life safety, building and accessibility codes along with extensive experience working with various city departments having oversight over the project approval.  Mr. Getman has extensive experience working with city officials to obtain complex building permits and modifications, including pioneering the first 7 story modified Type III residential project approved by the City of Los Angeles.

The DG team also has extensive construction administration experience including field observation, preparing monthly “During Construction” reports and reviewing and responding to the general contractor’s RFI’s and Submittals. 

Mr. Getman has active NCARB status and is a licensed architect in California and Arizona.  Mr. Getman is a graduate of the University of Colorado’s Architecture and Environmental Design School, is LEED accredited and a member of the American Institute of Architects. 

Ms. Pendleton has active NCARB status and is a licensed architect in California.  Ms. Pendleton is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Architecture School and has served on her local community’s Planning Commission, Design Review Board and Specific Plan Committee.
